Equality Stadium
Architect : Amir Hosein Pirani
Design Date : February 2021 - July 2021
The equality Stadium project involves the construction of a multi-purpose stadium, including a swimming competition hall with a capacity of 2500 spectators, which is a critical component of the stadium’s design. The second part accommodated multi-purpose activities such as volleyball, basketball, and futsal.
Considering the problems of justice and equality between women and men in Iran and the significant occurrence of this difference in sports, a symbol of equality and justice, I decided to design this stadium to express this problem and hope to solve it. The overall form of the project is derived from sine and cosine waves, whose appearance is a symbol of repeating equality and also conveys the concept of movement in sports.
Plan & 3D View
The stadium has two entrances, the first entrance for special people such as players, teams, management, employees, and reporters. The second entrance is intended for spectators. Also, the defined access routes around the project allow visitors to walk around the project and use special facilities such as gyms.
In the pool section, a structural truss system has been used to provide large openings between the columns. Also, tensile structures with trusses have been used to keep the hall’s roof on the second floor. The concrete coil worked in the lowest part of the facade is responsible for maintaining the main structures of the facade.
